Diablo III is the highest-selling isometric, action role-playing game of all time. It is one of the best hack-and-slash games ever created. Though it had a rocky start, iterative and constant patches and improvements made it much better and elevated it as a game worthy of being called a Diablo.
During its release in 2012, it broke presale and postsale records, becoming the most pre-ordered PC game on Amazon and the fastest-selling PC game of all time. It is one of the best-selling video games ever. However, it received a lot of criticisms from fans afterward, especially for its real-money auction house and the always-online requirements.
Diablo III improved through constant patches and updates and is now one of the most enjoyable games in its genre.
